Alain Rivard's TIE Bomber
#1
Going to start this guy today. It’s 1/48 and my first resin model. I printed it on my Elegoo Saturn 12K.

Any advice for getting crips lines on the black parts of the wings? I see some paint the blue then mask and paint the black and I’ve seen some that paint the black, mask, and then paint the blue. Is one way better than the other?

I think it should be a law that all model makers must make the black sections
of TIEs a separate piece from the rest of the wing. Lol

Hah! But it is very satisfying to see nice mask work. Smile

The inside of those wings are such a pain to mask at the pylons! Masking fluid was a big help in the tight spots.

Any tips on how to reduce the gap between the two pieces?

Hmm... What's causing it? Are either of the parts warped? Or is it just that some parts jutting proud of the hull's tube face are occluding a close contact with the dome?
