Late to the party on this one, but probably just need to use more solvent weld to soften the join. Sadly, it sounds like solvent weld was used in the first place. These aren’t really glues as such. Tamiya Cement, for instance, just dissolves the plastic a bit, causing it to “melt”. They melt then dries and the parts are permanently cross-linked. But applying a bit more solvent can loosen up the weld. You have to be very careful with this. Timing is everything. Too fast and you’ll bust the part when you try to remove it; too slow and you’ll only succeed in strengthening the original bond. A good sharp blade is helpful.
