I'm new to studio scale modelling, but have done lots of scale modelling in the past (sculptures mostly). Looking forward to learning lots from the folks here!

Hello! I'm a 19 years old STAR WARS fan from Japan, now I'm trying to build 1/72 millennium falcon as precise as possible.

Hey folks; it's pengbuzz from RPF and MacrossWorld! Saw jcoffman99 started this place up in a post on RPF and thought I'd drop in!

Attached are the basic mechanical pit boxes and the radar dish pit.

These are essentially scaled up versions of the Bandai kit and assumes a 3mm hull dome.

Well, we filled up the 40GB of space I was given, so I updated the hosting plan to the 100GB version.

IF we fill that, I may have to look at ways to generate some revenue as the prices go up a good bit after the 100GB plan.

This is my attempt at the forward window frame of the cockpit cone.

[edit] - fixed the geometry of the inside surfaces. There was a weird non-planar face in there.

I have started modelling the pits for anyone who is interested.
Where possible I have modelled the parts based on the Kit Scans.
The goal with these is to be resin printed.

Thought I'd throw a few a few photos of the first one up (needs a bit of tidying up in places) - and the others in this chat as I get through them, generally take a few days to model each one.

If anyone spots anything majorly incorrect, let me know, I will be tweaking them along the way to match all of the photos.

Once I am happy with my final versions I will upload the STLs, as well as pre-supported ones for anyone who wants to print them.
